Getting to Exhibition Place
Exhibition Place is home to several event venues such as Beanfield Centre, Enercare Centre, Better Living Centre, and Queen Elizabeth Hall. It is also home to 192-acres of beautiful, urban parkland so think about that when deciding where to park or get off public transit to get to your event.

Make sure you have your tickets
Many events may allow you to have your ticket scanned on your phone or event app. Some require you to check-in to get a physical badge. Whatever the case may be, make sure to double check so that ticket issues don’t delay you getting into your event. Have your paper ticket or app open to be scanned quickly to enter the event.
Bring a bag with you
There was a time when events always gave away swag bags that you could use to stock up on pamphlets, wares, goodies, food or whatever you pick you up from exhibitors. These days event organizers are moving away from this or offering limited edition totes for a small fee. These are fun souvenirs to have to use to carry your stuff, and great to reuse after the event has come and gone. However, you can save a little money by bringing your own reusable tote in case neither option is available.
Bring a reusable water bottle
Check the event website to see if they will have water stations for free refills if you bring a reusable water bottle. Also, our Facilities Team will love you because you are helping reduce waste.
Depending on the size of your event, security may need to check your bag and may require that your reusable bottle is empty when you arrive.
Check out wayfinding signage to get around
Look up. Way up! Most events these days will have hanging banners to identify booth rows to help you navigate the show floor. Nothing is more frustrating than losing your friends on the show floor and then having to Marco Polo your way around.
Look for letter, directional, named or numbered signage to direct your friends to you. Better yet, pick a meeting point before you set off on the show floor in case you split up.
Notice of service disruption
We want you to have a relaxing time when you come to Exhibition Place but from time to time, some of our services may be out of order such as an elevator, escalators or bathrooms. We hope this doesn’t happen often but it’s crucial for us to take some services out of service so that we can upgrade or maintain them to prevent future malfunctions. That said we will always do our best to limit its impact by providing you with alternatives to get where you’re going.
For more information on planned service disruptions, visit our Notice of Service Disruption page on our website.
Bring a little cash for coat check
It’s that time of year when the temperature dips and out comes that giant, puffy parka. The last thing you want to do is lug that bulky jacket around with you. Save yourself the bulk and the trouble by leaving your coat at coat check.
Coat check will always be near the entrance so that you don’t have to walk too far to find it. If you don’t see it, ask a show representative to point you in the right direction.
Re-admittance Policies
Every event is different so what applies to one may not apply for all. These days many events have pretty flexible re-admittance policies. Regardless of your reason for leaving the show floor, find out if you need a stamp, a wristband or your ticket to get back in or if there is no re-entry policy.
REMEMBER:
- If you get a stamp when you enter the show for re-admittance later, before you leave, make sure the stamp hasn’t washed off if you used the restroom. Get a new stamp before leaving the floor.
- Exhibition Place does not allow re-entry to its parking lots. If you pay to park, leave and then return, you will have to pay again if you want to park on the grounds.
Last but not least, ask us!
We’re here to help! If you have a question about where to find restrooms, coat check, where to buy tickets on-site, how to find the nearest transit stop or where to find a cash machine, ask one of our ambassadors in Enercare Centre or Beanfield Centre.
We want you to make the most of your time when you’re here with us so take our tips and use them to your benefit next time you come to the grounds.
Have fun!
