Best Convention Center – Enercare Centre wins again!
Hot on the heels of winning EXHIBITOR Magazine’s Centers of Excellence award in October, Enercare Centre has just been awarded EXHIBITOR Magazine’s Best Convention Center (500,000 – 1 million square feet of exhibit space).
Once Enercare Centre won the Centers of Excellence award, our facility was automatically entered into the Best Convention Centre (500,000 – 1 million sq. ft.) category, along with Los Angeles Convention Center and Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The winners were announced on December 10th during a ceremony held in conjunction with IAEE’s Expo! Expo!
“Being named among our Centers of Excellence is a huge accomplishment,” said Travis Stanton, editor of EXHIBITOR magazine. “But to further acknowledge the best of the best, these special awards recognize the exhibitor-friendly venues that consistently exceed expectations and collectively raise the bar with regard to what a convention center is and should be.”
These two awards are a tribute to both our beautiful and flexible exhibition and meeting space, as well as our commitment to safety for our clients, visitors and staff. Laura Purdy, General Manager, had the following comments in response to this latest award:
“We are so honoured to receive this award, and would like to thank EXHIBITOR Magazine for recognizing our both our world class facility and our commitment to safety. We’ve worked hard since COVID-19 hit to be the first centre in Canada to achieve GBAC Star Facility Accreditation from the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, as well as the Safe Travels Stamp from the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) and Tourism Industry Association of Ontario (TIAC). We ae so grateful to our industry partners, and especially our clients, for working so closely with us during this very trying time, so that we may all come together again when it is possible to do so. We look forward to seeing you soon, safely!”
