What can I expect to do in this role?
Reporting to the Facility Services Manager, the Facility Coordinator II will assist with all activities related to Housekeeping and Labour services delivery.
- Assist with coordinating and planning work assignments and the administration of housekeeping and labour services.
- Oversee the delivery of services and property maintenance pertaining to Facility Services.
- Assist and recommend Furniture, Fixture, Equipment (FF&E) to clients.
- Maintain & upkeep inventory of FF&E for various events.
- Assist in providing estimates and quotations for shows/events and maintenance requests.
- Verify the reporting of time for unionized staff for payroll/client invoicing.
- Provide updates to housekeeping and labour daily timesheets and approve assigned workers on the Time Management system.
- Provide support in the care and maintenance of housekeeping and labour services equipment and tools inventory.
- Update management on issues such as work refusals, jurisdictional disputes and work assignments as they relate to the collective agreement.
- Conduct facility and property housekeeping audits before, during and after each show/event.
- Oversee banner installation/removal and delivery and set-up of rental items.
- Assist with the development and delivery of toolbox talks.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
How do I qualify?
- Participation in or completion of a certificate in Facility Management or in another discipline pertinent to the job function or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the area of facility services is an asset.
- Possession of a valid class G driver’s licence.
- Experience using software packages (word processing, spreadsheets and electronic mail).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
- Proven customer service skills.
- Ability to successfully complete Exhibition Place’s Competent Supervisor program.
- Ability to provide a police clearance letter.
- Ability to oversee staff in a unionized environment.
- Ability to workdays, evenings, weekends and holidays as required to support operational requirements.
